Oral historians and collaborators of four on-going NYC based housing justice oral history projects will present their projects, discuss their methodologies and ongoing explorations, share what is being created from these projects and hopes for how they might serve housing struggles and share ways to get involved.
About this event
The Housing Justice Oral History Project is an ongoing collective endeavor bringing together New Yorker residents, activists, organizers, scholars, tenant associations, grassroots groups, and community organizations. Combining oral history, critical cartography and community advocacy, this project aims to amplify local memories, voices, and efforts while also preserving the history of the housing justice movement.
