Undergraduate students currently enrolled in Barnard College, Columbia College, General Studies, or the School of Engineering and Applied Science may request early admission to OHMA through the B.A./M.A. option. By way of this program, students have the opportunity to apply in their junior year to take OHMA's graduate-level coursework during the subsequent academic year.

The deadline and required materials for the B.A./M.A. option remain the same as the standard OHMA application. Interested students are encouraged to contact OHMA Director Amy Starecheski at aas39@columbia.edu and to submit an online application by our priority deadline of March 1.

Please note that admitted students to the B.A./M.A. option are not formally enrolled in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences until after conferral of their undergraduate degree, but that up to three graduate-level courses (nine to twelve credits) of level-5000 and above and/or one-half Resident Unit taken in excess to their bachelor’s program requirements may be transferred to OHMA.
